Thunder Signs Three Players to 10-Day Contracts

OKLAHOMA CITY, Dec. 27, 2021 – The Oklahoma City Thunder has signed guard Rob Edwards, guard Scotty Hopson and center Olivier Sarr to 10-day contracts, via the NBA’s COVID-Related Hardship Allowance, it was announced today by Executive Vice President and General Manager Sam Presti. 

Edwards (6-5, 205) has averaged 12.4 points, 3.5 rebounds and 1.7 assists in 21.2 minutes per game over two seasons (2020-22) with the Thunder’s G League affiliate, the Oklahoma City Blue. This year the Detroit native is averaging 12.3 points while knocking down a team-best 2.3 three-pointers and is second on the team with a 90.5 free-throw percentage. 

Hopson (6-7, 204) has spent this season with the Oklahoma City Blue, appearing in 11 games (four starts) while averaging 6.4 points, 2.2 rebounds and 1.3 assists in 20.5 minutes per game. The Tennessee product has played in 95 career G League games (75 starts) and owns career averages of 16.7 points, 4.1 rebounds and 3.0 assists in 29.2 minutes per game.

Sarr (7-0, 240) has appeared in 14 games for the Oklahoma City Blue and is averaging 7.1 points on 52.2 percent shooting, 4.8 rebounds, 1.2 assists in 14.1 minutes of action. A native from France, Sarr played three seasons at Wake Forest before transferring to Kentucky and collected Third Team All-ACC honors and was named a runner-up for ACC Most Improved Player.
