Francis Williams| Sonics KTTH Broadcast

Francis Williams joins the broadcast team this season as the host of the Sonics pregame, halftime and postgame radio shows on KTTH 770 AM. Williams will also contribute in-arena commentary during Sonics home games this season, bringing a new dimension to the team’s radio broadcasts.

For the past four years, Williams has provided color commentary for Sports Radio 950 KJR AM’s high school sports broadcasts, including the boy’s state basketball tournament.

Williams’ professional involvement in basketball began in the coaching ranks, where he compiled a 117-44 record in eight seasons as the head coach at Rainier Beach High School in Seattle. Williams led the 1988 team, which included future NBA player Doug Christie, to a state championship. Outside of coaching, Williams has also been involved with AAU basketball in Seattle and has worked with Adidas and the Seattle Rotary Select Program to help numerous local athletes advance into the collegiate and professional ranks.
