Thunder Signs Barefield, Edwards and Jack

OKLAHOMA CITY, Oct. 19, 2019 – The Oklahoma City Thunder signed guard Sedrick Barefield and forwards Vincent Edwards and Kadeem Jack, it was announced today by Executive Vice President and General Manager Sam Presti. Per team policy, terms of the agreements were not released.

Barefield (6-2, 190) played three years at Utah after transferring from SMU. At Utah, he appeared in 87 games (55 starts) and recorded averages of 12.9 points, 2.0 rebounds and 2.8 assists in 28.4 minutes per contest, shooting 40.7 percent from the floor.

Edwards (6-8, 225) spent the 2018-19 season under a Two-Way Contract with the Houston Rockets. In his 31 games (30 starts) with the Rio Grande Valley Vipers of the NBA G League, the Purdue product averaged 9.7 points, 5.3 rebounds and 2.2 assists in 30.6 minutes per game.

Jack (6-9, 235) spent the 2018-19 season with the South Bay Lakers of the NBA G League, appearing in nine games (one start) and averaging 6.1 points and 4.4 rebounds in 18.6 minutes per game. The Queens, N.Y. native spent four years at Rutgers University, where he appeared in 111 games (66 starts) and averaged 9.4 points and 5.3 rebounds in 23.3 minutes per game. ###
