What's on Your Sandwich?

NBA basketball is so intense, so emotional that it is easy to forget the players are human beings, too. They binge-watch shows and movies like the rest of us; they also crave junk food and have specific items they must have with them at all times. This series is aimed to reveal the person in the jersey we love to support.

lighter side

Darius Bazley: I'm simple, so I'm just going to have cheese and turkey on honey wheat.

Deonte Burton: I would have a blackened chicken sandwich, mayo, onion, little tomato, cheese. And I'd have another sandwich, which would be ham, chicken, onion, lettuce tomato, cheese. And chips. Chips come on both sandwiches.

Chris Paul: It'd probably be Beyond Meat burger, with lettuce, tomato, mayo and mustard. I don't like onions and all that. Probably put some pickles on it, too.

Dennis Schröder: Lettuce, little bit of onions, mayo and beef.

Andre Roberson: I used to make this fire little turkey sandwich, but I'm going to have to go with some Beyond Meat, chipotle aioli or pesto, with some fire vegan cheese, spinach, sun dried tomato, salt, pepper, and little oil.

Terrance Ferguson: I'm not a big sandwich guy, but the only sandwich I would eat is a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. That's my sandwich.

Danilo Gallinari: Guacamole for sure. Mortadella bacon, onions and gorgonzola cheese on wheat.

Hamidou Diallo: White bread, south Salsalito turkey, lettuce, cheese, oil and vinegar and mayo.

lighter side

Mike Muscala: Sourdough bread, turkey, healthy spread of mayo, onions.

Abdel Nader: Ciabatta bread, fried chicken, mac sauce, pickles, onions, lettuce, tomato, ketchup.

Nerlens Noel: A grilled chicken sandwich, maybe lightly fried, some seasoning. Bacon, lettuce, onions, guacamole. I'm a guac-type guy.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander: Bacon, lettuce, chicken, pepper jack cheese, some butter, that's my go-to.

Steven Adams: A steak sandwich fillet with dijon mustard and caramelized onions.
