Job Posting – Game Presentation & Mascot Associate

Do you watch professional sporting events and want to be involved in the creativity and brainstorming happening with the game presentation and entertainment? We are seeking energetic and adaptable individuals for the part-time position of Game Presentation & Mascot Associate during the upcoming NBA season! The associate will coordinate and complete duties as an assistant involved in all aspects of the mascot program at every Thunder game, select OKC Blue games, and select external community events as assigned. As the Game Presentation & Mascot Associate, you will be an integral part in continuing Rumble’s performance and brand success by assisting Rumble and the Mascot Coordinator.

In this role you will:

  • Be present at all Thunder home games (pre-season, regular season and post-season), as well as select Oklahoma City Blue games, civic, community and partner organization events
  • Supply input to new entertainment concepts as well as build upon current standards for use at performances, including on-court skits/dances/stunts, in-stands interaction and improvisation, and off-site event entertainment
  • Assist Mascot Coordinator in all Rumble Rally school show setup, activation, and breakdown
  • Assist in game night setup and breakdown of multiple Rumble assets
  • Maintain the integrity of the Rumble brand within the guidelines of the Thunder's overall marketing and entertainment strategies, following internal brand and performance guidelines including content development and internal review and approval processes
  • Assist with fan interactions and crowd control to optimize guests’ experience and safety
  • Work with the department leaders to build and implement an in-game repertoire of performance content and schedule for all home games and special events
  • Assist the Events & Entertainment department as requested
  • Represent the Oklahoma City Thunder and Rumble in a professional and appropriate manner at all times

What you'll bring to the role:

  • Minimum age requirement, 18 years
  • Previous Mascot experience and/or Performing Arts/Theater background preferred
  • Ability to simultaneously multitask, prioritize across multiple projects and tasks
  • Perform under tight time schedules
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with customer service orientation
  • Resourcefulness in problem-solving and troubleshooting

Additional details:

Work schedule will include evenings, weekends, and holidays with the ability to work 90% of all Thunder home games and department events. Physical requirements of the job may include occasional lifting to 50 pounds, standing or walking for long shifts up to 10 hours. Must have a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and clean driving record as local or regional travel will be required. This is a part-time, non-exempt position reporting to the Sr. Manager, Game Presentation & Entertainment as well as the mascot team. Primary work location will be Paycom Center located in downtown Oklahoma City. Employees are encouraged to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19.
