The Sixers narrowly lost their Summer League opener versus the Memphis Grizzlies Monday, 94-92.

Monday’s Key Performances

Terquavion Smith

  • New two-way signee Smith finished with a team-high 18 points along with three assists in his Summer league debut, in 26 minutes of play.

Jaden Springer

  • Incoming third-year Sixer Springer totaled 11 points, four rebounds, two assists, two steals, and two blocks in his 27 minutes.

Ricky Council IV

  • Council, also an incoming rookie two-way Sixer, tallied 11 points, six rebounds, and a steal, shooting 4-for-8 from the field in 27 minutes of play.

DJ Steward

  • Steward scored a bench-high 15 points on 6-for-11 shooting in the opener, plus four rebounds, two assists, and a steal.

Louis King

  • King finished with 10 points, a team-high eight rebounds, and a team-high five assists in his 29 minutes.

Javonte Smart

  • Smart shot an efficient 4-for-6 from the field in his 18 minutes off the bench, finishing with 10 points and four assists in 18 minutes.

Opponent Outlook:

The Jazz fell in their Summer League opener, 95-85, versus the Oklahoma City Thunder (1-0) Monday.

First-round draft pick Keyonte George was Utah’s leading scorer Monday, recording 18 points, five rebounds, four assists, and three steals. Ochai Agbaji added 17 points, nine rebounds, an assist, and a block.
