HOW DUBS CAN WIN WEST GROUP C
After defeating the San Antonio Spurs on Friday, the Warriors remain in the hunt to win West Group C. The Sacramento Kings beat the Minnesota Timberwolves 124-111 on Friday, making Sacramento the only remaining undefeated team in the group. The Warriors would need to beat the Kings to give both squads the same record in group play (3-1). Beating the Kings would also give the Warriors the tiebreaker over Sacramento. If the Oklahoma City Thunder also beat the Timberwolves and dropped them to 2-2, the Warriors would win West Group C. However, if the Timberwolves win, the Warriors, Kings and Timberwolves would be in a three-way tie at 3-1, with the next tiebreaker coming down to point differential. As things currently stand, the Warriors would need to beat the Kings by at least 13 points to have a greater point differential than them. Minnesota's point differential is currently -3, so the Dubs would need to ensure their point differential remains ahead of them. The Warriors cannot advance in the tournament without beating the Kings on Tuesday.
