The Philadelphia 76ers signed Trendon Watford in July 2025.

Watford makes his debut with the Sixers after spending two seasons with the Brooklyn Nets. In the 2024-25 NBA season, Watford appeared in 44 games, averaging career bests of 10.2 points and 2.6 assists per game. He shot 46.9% from the field, 33.0% from beyond the arc, and 76.2% from the free throw line. He scored 26 points off the bench against Indiana in March, his highest total with the Nets.

Watford also spent two years with the Portland Trail Blazers. As a rookie, he scored his best point total (27) in a match against the Wizards. He was also a member of Portland’s 2022 NBA Summer League Championship winning team.

In total, Watford has played in 217 games (30 starts), averaging 7.9 points, 3.6 rebounds, and 1.9 assists per game, shooting 52.0% from the field and 34.9% from the three.

In college, Watford spent two seasons with LSU, playing in the 2021 SEC Championship versus Alabama where he tallied 30 points. In his first year, he was named to the SEC All-Freshman team, leading the Tigers with 7.2 rebounds per game. The following season saw the Birmingham, Alabama native earn spots on the All-SEC Second Team and the All-SEC Tournament First Team. Watford’s averages of 16.3 points, 7.4 rebounds, 2.9 assists, and 0.6 blocks per game were all second for LSU that year.
