Paul George joined the Philadelphia 76ers in July 2024, signing as a free agent, and wearing No. 8 for the team.
In his first season with the Sixers, George averaged 16.2 points, 5.3 rebounds, and 4.3 assists per game. He also shot 81.4% from the free throw line. George recorded a double-double versus the Orlando Magic on Jan. 12, scoring 25 points and 10 rebounds.
In a matchup against the Charlotte Hornets, George totaled a season-high 33 points, as well as five rebounds and eight assists. That same game, he reached 10th place for all-time in three-pointers, passing Jason Terry. Later in the 2024-25 season, George stepped into ninth place, finishing the year with 2,349 career three-pointers.
Before joining the 76ers, George spent five seasons with the Los Angeles Clippers. There he set the Clippers’ franchise mark for three-point field goals (820). He was named to three All-Star Games during those five years. In 263 games (all starts) with Los Angeles, he produced 23.0 points on 45.5% shooting and a 39.7% mark from three, 6.0 rebounds, 4.5 assists, and 1.5 steals.
Originally selected by Indiana with the No. 10 overall pick in the 2010 NBA Draft, George has appeared in 908 games (860 starts) for Indiana, Oklahoma City, and the Clippers. He holds career averages of 20.6 points (44.0% FG, 38.4% 3FG, 85.3% FT), 6.3 rebounds, 3.7 assists, and 1.7 steals in 33.6 minutes.
The nine-time All-Star and six-time All-NBA selection has also been named to four NBA All-Defensive Teams throughout his decorated career, the first of which came in 2012-13, when he also captured the league’s Most Improved Player award.
