In September 2023, the Sixers signed Kelly Oubre Jr., an eight-year league veteran who entered the league in 2015.
A New Orleans native, Oubre was a five-star recruit entering Kansas in 2014, where he played for one year. He was selected 30th overall by Atlanta in the first round of the 2015 NBA Draft out of Kansas. As a part of a three-team trade, he was traded to Washington where he played until 2019.
Throughout his career, Oubre has played in over 500 games, averaging 12.8 points and 4.4 rebounds while playing for Washington, Phoenix, Golden State and Charlotte. In each of his last five seasons, Oubre has scored at least 15 points.
