Andre Drummond re-joins the Philadelphia 76ers in July 2024 during free agency.
This will be Drummond’s second stint in a 76ers uniform, having previously signed with the franchise on Aug. 4, 2021. Originally selected by Detroit with the No. 9 overall pick in the 2012 NBA Draft, he has appeared in 864 games (640 starts) with the Pistons, Cleveland, Los Angeles Lakers, Philadelphia, Brooklyn, and Chicago.
He holds lifetime averages of 12.7 points, 12.4 rebounds, 1.3 blocks, and 1.3 steals per game, while shooting 54.3-percent from the field. Drummond is one of three active players with at least 10,000 career rebounds (LeBron James and DeAndre Jordan), while his rebounding average (12.4) leads all active players and ranks 14th all-time in NBA history (min. 500 games).
A two-time NBA All-Star, Drummond has also led the league in rebounding four times in his 12 seasons and was named to the All-NBA Third Team in 2015-16.
During his lone collegiate season at Connecticut, Drummond appeared in 34 games (30 starts), averaging 10.0 points, 7.6 rebounds, and 2.7 blocks per game. He helped lead UConn to an appearance in the 2012 NCAA Tournament and was named to the 2011-12 Big East All-Rookie Team.
