Hornets Trade Guard Troy Daniels to Grizzlies

July 12, 2016 – Charlotte Hornets General Manager Rich Cho announced today that the team has sent guard Troy Daniels to the Memphis Grizzlies in exchange for cash considerations as part of a sign-and-trade deal.  As a result of the transaction, the Hornets will receive a trade exception which will be available for one year.

Daniels averaged 5.6 points and 1.3 rebounds in 11.1 minutes per game in 2015-16, appearing in 43 games.  The 6-4 Virginia Commonwealth product originally went undrafted in the 2013 NBA Draft.  Daniels was acquired by the Hornets in a trade with the Minnesota Timberwolves on Feb. 10, 2015, along with Mo Williams in exchange for Gary Neal and a 2019 second-round draft pick.
