Cody Zeller's Sock Drive, Presented By Hanes, Tips Off At Hornets Game On December 2

December 2, 2019 – Charlotte Hornets center Cody Zeller and Hanes are encouraging fans to help the team collect socks for those in need within the Charlotte community. Presented by Hanes, Cody Zeller’s Sock Drive collects socks to be distributed to The Salvation Army's Center of Hope Women and Children’s Shelter, an emergency shelter in Charlotte.

As part of the Sock Drive, fans are encouraged to bring a new package of socks or a $5 donation to the Ally Community Corner on the concourse outside Section 112 at any Hornets home game at Spectrum Center from Monday, Dec. 2, through Tuesday, Dec. 10. Fans donating a pack of socks or a minimum of $5 will receive a special Hornets Gift.

"When the cold hits, socks are one of the most needed items at our local shelters,” said Zeller. “With the help of Hornets fans, we have collected more than 20,000 socks since the first Sock Drive in 2013 and I am confident we can grow that number significantly this season.”

As in previous seasons, all of the socks collected will be personally delivered by Zeller to The Salvation Army's Center of Hope Women and Children’s Shelter. For more information on Cody Zeller’s Sock Drive, please visit hornets.com.
