CHICAGO—The Chicago Sports Network, CHSN, will launch in October across multiple platforms with plans to deliver the Chicago Blackhawks, Bulls and White Sox games to the widest audience possible.CHSN will deliver more than 300 live Blackhawks, Bulls and Sox games annually, along with first-class pre-and-post game coverage, and 24/7 multisport programming.

CHSN will broadcast from highly visible production studios located in both Chicago’s United Center and Guaranteed Rate Field.&nbsp;

The network will launch in October with Blackhawks and Bulls preseason games. The first CHSN White Sox game will be broadcast in 2025. All remaining 2024 White Sox games will continue to be broadcast on NBC Sports Chicago.

CHSN is a joint venture among the three teams and Standard Media and will reach a widely expanded Midwest footprint, including most of Illinois, and parts of Indiana, Iowa, Michigan, and Wisconsin, pending league approvals.&nbsp;

The network will launch with agreements in place with traditional cable providers, streaming services and be available via free, over-the-air broadcast.&nbsp;

“As we set out to design the network, we began and ended every discussion with the simple question: What is best for our fans?” said Jason Coyle, who has been named president of the network after serving in Chicago-based sports media leadership roles for more than 20 years, most recently as president of Stadium. “What is the best approach to distribution? How can we push the limits of both in-game and studio production? We plan to serve our fans on as many platforms and in as many markets as our rights allow.”

The teams’ partner, Standard Media, owns four media stations, from Rhode Island to Nebraska. Based in Nashville, its leaders have decades of experience negotiating distribution deals with cable and streaming services.&nbsp;

The network is in the midst of building out its staff and has begun hiring. It will have continued announcements through the summer as distribution and other agreements are finalized. Updates will also be shared at CHSN.com.

Today, the Bulls launch their first player collaboration for their 1966 line between Dalen Terry and Design Advisor, Don C. Together, the two created a limited retail collection featuring a graphic hoodie and t-shirt.&nbsp;&nbsp;

“To be the first Bulls player to collaborate with the team’s 1966 line is an exciting and unique opportunity,” said Bulls Guard, Dalen Terry. “It was fun to design these items with a local streetwear icon like Don C and showcase my passion for pickup basketball and the city of Chicago – I hope fans connect with the collection and wear these pieces with pride.”&nbsp;

The design inspiration from the retail items was pulled from Dalen’s childhood love for gaming and pickup basketball.&nbsp;&nbsp;

“I’m so excited for this collaboration to finally drop with Dalen”, said Bulls Design Advisor, Don C. “He is an amazing talent on and off the court and really impressed me with his creativity and storytelling.”&nbsp;

The Chicago Bulls announced today that the team has waived Marko Simonović. Simonović (7-0, 240), a 23-year-old center from Montenegro, was a second-round draft pick by the team in 2020. He averaged 1.4 points and 0.8 rebounds in 16 regular season appearances across two seasons for the Bulls. In 75 appearances over two seasons with the G League’s Windy City Bulls, Simonović averaged 15.7 points and 9.7 rebounds per contest.

The Chicago Bulls have signed forward Kostas Antetokounmpo to a two-way contract. In accordance with team policy, terms of the contract were not announced.

Born in Athens, Greece, Antetokounmpo (6-10, 200) has appeared in 22 career games in three seasons, logging career averages of 1.0 points, 1.0 rebounds across 4.0 minutes per game. Prior to joining Chicago, Antetokounmpo spent time with the Los Angeles Lakers (2019-2021) and the Dallas Mavericks (2018-19).

Drafted in the second round (60th overall) of the 2018 NBA Draft by the Philadelphia 76ers, Antetokounmpo’s draft rights were traded to the Dallas Mavericks in exchange for the draft rights to 54th overall pick and guard Shake Milton. Antetokounmpo later signed a two-way deal with the Mavericks in 2018, was waived in by Dallas in 2019 and claimed on waivers by the Los Angeles Lakers in the summer of 2019 – where he later became an NBA champion with the Lakers in 2020.

Antetokounmpo played one collegiate season at Dayton (2017-18), seeing action in 29 games (6 starts) as a freshman and averaged of 5.2 points, 2.9 rebounds, 1.1 blocks and shot 57.4% from the field. Antetokounmpo.&nbsp;

Bulls Sign Kostas Antetokounmpo to Two-Way Contract

The Chicago Bulls announced today the remaining substitute TV play-by-play schedule through the end of the 2019-20 regular season. Adam Amin, Jason Benetti, Lisa Byington and J.B. Long will round out the final slate of road games alongside Bulls TV analyst Stacey King.

Amin is a play-by-play commentator for ESPN working on multiple sports for the network, including the NBA and men’s and women’s college basketball. A Chicago native, Amin has called a total of 14 Bulls games over the last two seasons.

Benetti, who will have subbed for a total of 10 games, is set to begin his fifth season as TV play-by-play announcer for the White Sox. He has also been a play-by-play announcer for ESPN since 2011. He was born in Chicago and grew up in Homewood, Ill.

Filling in for six games over two seasons, Byington has held play-by-play duties primarily at the collegiate level, where she has called college football, men’s and women’s basketball, soccer, volleyball and softball for Fox and the Big Ten Network. At the pro level, she has announced games for MLS, WNBA, and the NWSL. Byington has also worked sideline for the NFL, college football and basketball, and most recently working the NCAA Tournament for CBS and Turner Sports the last two years.

Long, who also serves as the radio play-by-play announcer for the Los Angeles Rams, has been with the Pac-12 Network for the past eight years, and has called games for MLB Network, ESPN, and the Big Ten Network. Long will have a called a total of 10 games for Chicago over the past two seasons.

Neil Funk will officially retire his headset as Chicago’s longtime TV Play-by-Play announcer when the team travels to the Boston Celtics for its final game of the season on Wednesday, April 15. Plans for celebrating Funk’s retirement at a future home game will be announced at a later date.

  play-by-play announcers through NBA All-Star Weekend. Adam Amin, Jason Benetti and J.B. Long are slotted to fill in
