The Mission
Representing what the Chicago Bulls stand for off the court and in the community.
At the Bulls, we are committed to community violence prevention through four focus areas – education, community investment, health and wellness and access to opportunities. We believe that making investments in these four areas through donations, grants, sponsored programs, staff resources, and player engagement will create a reverberation of change in our communities.
Bulls Community Focus Areas
Education
We partner with Chicago Public Schools, through the Bulls in Schools initiative, to promote student engagement, create a more equitable learning environment and highlight the educators who have dedicated their lives to our city’s children.
Community Investment
We invest our time, finances and resources into organizations that create access to service, entrepreneurship, and professional development opportunities in underserved Chicago communities.
Spotlight: Bulls and BMO Black Owned Business Program
Throughout the past two seasons, the Bulls and BMO have highlighted local Chicago Black owned businesses that are making a difference in our communities and helping build a stronger Chicago.
Health and Wellness
We support the physical, mental, and spiritual wellness of leaders and community members through trainings and resources related to trauma-informed care, mental health, and physical fitness.
Spotlight: Bulls x Nike Hoopbus
The Bulls teamed up with Nike to meet with Breakthrough mentees for a field trip on the Chicago Hoopbus and surprised them with gear.
Opportunity-Access
We create access to personal and professional opportunities for underserved youth to better understand themselves, our city, and the world.
Students from Whitney Young High School’s broadcast class, DUB TV, part of the Through the Arts program with Sprite, joined the Bulls Entertainment team as crew members, on set, for this year’s season opening entertainment video to learn from the professionals on site.
Chicago Bulls Charities is committed to using the Bulls’ platform to elevate organizations, big and small, that are addressing critical issues in our city.
The Bulls have been investing in our city since 1987 through our 501(c)(3), Chicago Bulls Charities (CBC). Through CBC our organization invests time, resources, and finances to organizations whose work contributes to community violence prevention through education, community investment, health and wellness, and opportunity-access for underserved youth.
