HEAT Re-Assign Richardson And Stokes To Skyforce

MIAMI,  January 5 – The Miami HEAT announced today that they have re-assigned guard Josh Richardson and forward/center Jarnell Stokes to their NBA Development League affiliate, the Sioux Falls Skyforce.

Richardson previously appeared in two games (both starts) with the Skyforce earlier this season, helping them to a perfect 2-0 record, while averaging 23.0 points, 4.5 rebounds, 4.5 assists, 2.50 steals, 1.50 blocks in 39.0 minutes and shooting 44.7 percent from the field. He has appeared in 14 games (one start) with the HEAT this season averaging 1.6 points, 1.1 rebounds and 8.8 minutes while shooting 30 percent (6-of-20) from the field and 40 percent (4-of-10) from three-point range.

Stokes has appeared in 11 games (all starts) in three different stints with the Skyforce this season, helping them to a 10-1 record over that span, while averaging 19.3 points, 8.8 rebounds, 1.18 steals, 1.09 blocks in 29.0 minutes and shooting 67.2 percent from the field. He has posted four double-doubles and scored at least 20 points in six of those contests. Additionally, he has appeared in two NBA games this season with the Memphis Grizzlies totaling two rebounds in four minutes of action. He was acquired by the HEAT, along with Beno Udrih, from Memphis in exchange for Mario Chalmers and James Ennis earlier this season on November 10.
