MIAMI, June 20 – The Miami HEAT will bring all of the excitement of the NBA Draft to the XFINITY East Plaza at the AmericanAirlines Arena on June 22nd, when they host the 2017 Miami HEAT Draft Party presented by Verizon. The Miami HEAT holds the 14th overall pick.
All HEAT fans are welcome to join HEAT Legends Alonzo Mourning and Glen Rice along with HEAT Broadcasters for the show. Doors will open at 6 p.m. in anticipation of the live ESPN coverage at 7 p.m. The event is FREE for all fans and FREE parking is available in the P2 garage, while spaces last. The first 2,000 fans in attendance will receive a Miami HEAT t-shirt. Alonzo Mourning will host a meet and greet and take photos with HEAT fans from 7:35 p.m. – 8:35 p.m. at the Verizon activation on the XFINITY East Plaza. HEAT fans are also welcome to enjoy bites and drinks at 601 throughout the event.
While admission to the event is free, a registration is required to enter the AmericanAirlines Arena. Registration is only available online at https://rsvp.heatexperience.com/DraftParty_RSVP.
Fans will have the chance to win autographed items, t-shirts and other giveaways. The Miami HEAT Dancers, HEAT mascot, Burnie, and the Xtreme Team will make special appearances throughout the night. The Miami HEAT Store kiosks will be open for the duration of the event, where fans can purchase Miami HEAT Draft merchandise. In addition, select concession stands will be open.
