MIAMI, October 3rd – Erik and Nikki Spoelstra, together with Art Angels, are hosting the first annual Work of HeART event benefiting the Miami Learning Experience School on Saturday, October 19 from 8PM-11PM at Art Angels gallery located at 127 NE 40th Street. The Miami Learning Experience School promotes a safe and peaceful environment that encourages individualized academic, social and emotional growth for all children and adults with development disabilities, providing students with the necessary tools to go beyond the classroom and become active members of the community.
This exclusive event includes a culinary experience with hors d’oeuvres and cocktails, special guest meet-and-greets, raffle prizes and fine art giveaways. Collectors will enjoy 10 percent off in-store purchases with an additional 10 percent of all purchases being donated directly to the Miami Learning School’s Capital Campaign, which will fund a much needed expansion and renovation to improve the quality of services to new and existing students.

The Miami Learning Experience School is a 501(c)(3) non-profit school for children and adults with intellectual disabilities which was founded in 1977. They provide personal care and attention with carefully developed programs and objectives that help each student achieve their goals. The Capital Campaign is important due to significant growth in student enrollment and the fact they have reached their capacity. Therefore, necessity to expand and renovate space on campus to meet the needs of new and exciting students is critical.
