Vice President, Marketing

Jeff Craney isn’t only an original member of the Miami HEAT staff, he has the enviable distinction of being the very first employee hired by the franchise on July 1, 1987. In his current role as Vice President of the largest marketing division in the NBA, Craney works alongside CMO, Michael McCullough, serving as his right-hand man overseeing an industry-leading game presentation and broadcast services department, including HEATV—the award-winning, full-service production arm of the team.

During his lengthy tenure, Craney has worked his way up through the ranks starting his career as an intern and quickly moving on to Sales Representative, Director of Sales, Director of Customer Relations, Director of Game Operations and Senior Director of Events. Craney brings an expansive knowledge of the HEAT and its business operations to his post as Vice President, while his creative and logistical expertise continues to generate innovate ideas and best-practices that are often imitated across the league.
