Milwaukee Bucks Tip Off Women's History Month Celebrations On March 1 vs. Orlando Magic

The Milwaukee Bucks will tip off Women’s History Month celebrations on March 1 when they host the Orlando Magic at Fiserv Forum at 7 p.m. The Women’s History Month game will highlight stories of women and organizations that support them in the community.

Prior to tipoff, the Bucks and BMO will host a pregame panel discussion with women trailblazers across various industries at GATHER at Deer District. The discussion, hosted by Bucks sideline reporter Zora Stephenson, will touch on Title IX, equality in the workplace and empowering rising young professionals. The speakers on the panel are Amanda Braun, University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee Athletic Director; Taylor Houston, Project Manager and Marketing Consultant for the Treadmill Mentality Foundation; Raven Jemison, Bucks Executive Vice President of Business Operations; and Stacy Schoen, Manager of North America Sponsorship for BMO. The Women’s History Month ticket package includes access to the panel and a ticket to that night’s game. To purchase the ticket package, click here

During the game, a Small Business Marketplace with 88Nine will be set up on the upper concourse outside of Sections 201 and 203 featuring Milwaukee-based, women-owned businesses. The businesses include Abigail Hausman Design & Illustration, Aloekui Soap, Chase My Creations, Cool AF Glass, Ina Maka, Nubian’s Way, Soul Brew Kombucha and Wick + Bean.

The Bucks will show video spotlights throughout the game celebrating female changemakers who have worked toward equality in sports, healthcare and the workplace. In addition, Public Address announcer Bonnie Oleson will return to take over PA responsibilities for the second year. Oleson has served as the PA announcer for the University of Wisconsin women’s basketball, volleyball and softball teams for the past 25 years. The in-game entertainment will also feature all female DJs and performances that spotlight female members of the Bucks Entertainment Network.

There will also be two concessions spotlights during the game. Tots on the Street, a female-run tater tot food truck, will take over the concession stand at Section 206 while Milwaukee-based chef Kristen Schwab will lead the kitchen for the West Bend Mutual Lofts.

An exclusive Women’s History Month t-shirt will be available for purchase at the Bucks Pro Shop at Fiserv Forum and www.shop.bucks.com. A portion of the proceeds will benefit Girls on the Run of Southeastern Wisconsin.
