Milwaukee Bucks sign Meyers Leonard to 10-day contract

The Milwaukee Bucks have signed Meyers Leonard to a 10-day contract.

A 7-foot center, Leonard most recently played in 54 games (51 starts) with the Miami Heat during the 2019-20 and 2020-21 seasons where he averaged 5.9 points, 4.9 rebounds and 1.1 assists in 19.7 minutes per game while shooting 50.6% from the field and 41.5% from three.

Originally selected with the 11th overall pick in the 2012 NBA Draft by the Portland Trail Blazers, Leonard spent the first seven seasons of his career with the Trail Blazers, playing in 393 games with the team. Overall, the University of Illinois product has appeared in 447 games with Portland and Miami across nine seasons and holds career averages of 5.6 points and 3.9 rebounds in 16.0 minutes per game.
