MILWAUKEE BUCKS SIGN 2022 FIRST ROUND DRAFT PICK MARJON BEAUCHAMP

MILWAUKEE (July 7, 2022) – The Milwaukee Bucks have signed 2022 first round draft pick MarJon Beauchamp.

“MarJon’s drive, focus and character have been infectious, and we’re excited to see his athleticism, defensive versatility, and basketball IQ impact our team,” said Bucks General Manager Jon Horst. “He will have a great opportunity to grow as a young player within our system and organization and we look forward to having him in Milwaukee.”

A 6-7, 197-pound forward, Beauchamp was selected by the Bucks with the 24th overall pick in the 2022 NBA Draft out of NBA G League Ignite where he averaged 15.7 points, 6.4 rebounds, 2.1 assists and 1.5 steals in 35.2 minutes per game during the 2021-22 season. In his 21 games (20 starts) with G League Ignite last season, the Yakima, Washington native shot 53.8% from the field, scoring 20+ points six times and logging six double-doubles.

Prior to joining G League Ignite, the 21-year-old Beauchamp averaged 30.1 points, 10.5 rebounds and 4.8 assists in his lone collegiate season with Yakima Valley College in 2020-21.
