Buddy Hield joined the Philadelphia 76ers in February 2024 via a three-team trade from the Indiana Pacers.

Hield is a native of the Bahamas, later moving to the U.S. for high school basketball and then playing for the University of Oklahoma. In his time at Oklahoma, Hield received many accolades including the John R. Wooden Award for his 2015-16 season.

Buddy Hield was drafted by the New Orleans Pelicans in the 2016 NBA Draft. He joined the Sacramento Kings in 2017. Hield was named to the All-Rookie First Team in 2017. In 2020, Hield won the three point contest during All-Star weekend.

Hield has played in over 600 games throughout his 8 year NBA career, averaging 15.7 points, 4.3 rebounds, and 2.6 assists per game.
