In the fall of 2023, the 76ers acquired Nicolas Batum via a three-team trade from the Los Angeles Clippers.

A native of France, Nicolas Batum was selected in the first round of the 2008 NBA Draft by the Houston Rockets. He played professionally for the MSB Le Mans for three seasons before entering the 2008 NBA Draft.

Batum began his career with the Portland Trail Blazers, where he played until 2015, before being traded to the Hornets, where he played until 2020. Batum was then traded to the LA Clippers, where he played until 2023, when the Sixers acquired him in a three-team trade.

Throughout his time with the Tail Blazers, Clippers, and Hornets, he played in 996 games, averaging 10.7 points, 5 rebounds and 3.4 assists. He has tallied over 10,635 career points in his 16 year professional career.
