The Utah Jazz have acquired guard Kira Lewis Jr. (KY-ruh), forward Otto Porter Jr., and a future first round draft pick from the Toronto Raptors in exchange for guard Ochai Agbaji and forward/center Kelly Olynyk.

Lewis Jr. (6-2, 175, Alabama) is in his fourth NBA season, having appeared in 119 career games with New Orleans and Toronto, owning averages of 5.4 points, 1.8 assists, and 1.3 assists in 13.7 minutes per contest. The Meridianville, Ala., native was selected by New Orleans with the 13th overall pick in the 2020 NBA Draft after a two-year college career at Alabama. As a sophomore in 2019-20, Lewis Jr. averaged 18.5 points on 45.9 percent from the field, 5.2 assists, 4.8 boards, and 1.8 steals in 31 games (all starts), earning 2019-20 All-SEC First Team honors.

Porter Jr. (6-8, 230, Georgetown) is in his 11th NBA season, having appeared in 527 games (319 starts) with Washington, Chicago, Orlando, Golden State, and Toronto with averages of 10.3 points on 47.7 percent from the field and 39.7 percent from beyond the arc, along with 4.9 rebounds, 1.5 assists, and 1.1 steals in 25.4 minutes per game. He was selected with the third overall pick in the 2013 NBA Draft by the Wizards and helped the Warriors to an NBA Championship in 2022. 

Agbaji (6-5, 215, Kansas) spent two seasons with the Jazz, averaging 6.7 points and 2.2 rebounds in 110 games (32 starts).

Olynyk (6-11, 240, Gonzaga) posted averages of 10.6 points, 5.7 boards, and 4.0 assists in 118 games (76 starts) during his time with Utah.

In one of the 2023 NBA trade deadlines' biggest trades, the Jazz engaged in a three-team trade with the Timberwolves and Lakers that saw eight players switch teams.&nbsp;

It was a rare trade in which each team got what they wanted and came out on top.&nbsp;

While it's unknown if Westbrook will suit up for Utah, the Lakers' first-round pick in 2027 was one of the market's most-coveted assets, and the Jazz got it. In search of some depth and shooting, the Lakers got precisely that with their acquisitions. And for the Timberwolves, the addition of Conley should help unleash Rudy Gobert, as the pair of them were very comfortable during their time in Salt Lake City. 

Here are five things to know about Utah's newest member, Toscano-Anderson

1.) Making NBA HistoryWhen the Golden State Warriors took home the NBA title last June, it marked a momentous occasion for Toscano-Anderson and the game of basketball in Mexico. He became the second-ever player of Mexican descent to win an NBA title — Mark Aguirre won a ring in 1989 with Detroit.&nbsp;

He also made more history earlier that season when he participated in the NBA Dunk Contest at All-Star weekend in February, becoming the first player of Mexican descent to participate.&nbsp;

2.) Oakland Born, Oakland BredFrom a list that includes Damian Lillard, Jason Kidd, and Gary Payton, Oakland, CA has produced a ridiculous number of NBA stars. While those named previously — as well as many others — came with an insane amount of fanfare before entering the NBA, Toscano-Anderson's story is a little bit different.&nbsp;

Never one of the most-talked-about names throughout recruiting sites, Toscano-Anderson was a winner at Castro Valley High School. He helped lead them to a 30-2 record during his senior year, winning multiple titles before falling in the Northern California Division I championship game — one win away from playing for a state title. He averaged 16.6 points, 7.0 rebounds, and 5.0 assists per game during the season and was named first-team all-league, all-metro, and third-team all-state.

3.) Four-Year College CareerRanked the No. 61 prospect out of high school, Toscano-Anderson took his talents east when he suited up for Marquette from 2011-2015.&nbsp;

Toscano-Anderson was the ultimate college player as he became the ideal glue guy. His ability to defend multiple positions, always doing the dirty work, made him a fan-favorite among the Golden Eagles faithful. He broke out his senior year when he averaged career-highs of 8.3 points, 5.7 rebounds, 1.7 assists, and 1.1 steals per game. 

4.) LNBP LegendAfter going undrafted out of college, Toscano-Anderson took his talents south when he played in the Liga Nacional de Baloncesto Profesional (LNBP) from 2015-18. It was there that Toscan-Anderson emerged as one of the top players in the league during his time in the LNBP.

He was a two-time LNBP champion (2017, 2019), two-time LNBP All-Star (2016, 2017), two-time LNBP All-Star Game MVP (2016, 2017), and LNBP MVP in 2018. That success eventually led him to the Warriors, where he signed with the G-League's Santa Cruz Warriors from 2018-20.&nbsp;

5.) Leaving A Positive LegacyPlaying with a team full of stars in Golden State, Toscano-Anderson emerged as a fan favorite for his unique style of play. Like college, he found success in the league by being the ultimate glue guy — doing all the dirty work and serving as a protector of Steph Curry, Klay Thompson, and others.&nbsp;

While his legacy is about never giving up and overcoming trials and tribulations, Toscano-Anderson was also awarded the 2019-20 NBA G League's Community Assist Award for his continued commitment to positively impacting the lives of children and families throughout the season.&nbsp;

Team sends guard Patrick Beverley to Los Angeles Lakers

The Utah Jazz have acquired guard Talen Horton-Tucker and forward Stanley Johnson from the Los Angeles Lakers in exchange for guard Patrick Beverley, pending the outcome of successful physicals.

Horton-Tucker (6-4, 233, Iowa State) is entering his fourth NBA season and in 2021-22 with the Lakers, averaged 10.0 points, 3.2 rebounds, 2.7 assists, and 1.0 steals in 60 games (19 starts). Originally drafted in the second round (46th overall pick) in the 2019 NBA Draft, the Chicago native has spent his entire professional career with the Lakers, appearing in 131 games (34 starts), owning career averages of 9.3 points, 2.8 boards, 2.6 assists, and 1.0 steals in 22.1 minutes per contest.

Johnson (6-6, 242, Arizona) has seven years of NBA experience with the Pistons, Pelicans, Raptors, and Lakers, appearing in 419 career contests (104 starts), averaging 6.3 points, 3.1 rebounds, and 1.5 assists in 20.1 minutes per game. Originally drafted with the eighth overall pick in the 2015 NBA Draft by the Pistons, the Fullerton, Calif., native saw action in 48 games (27 starts) in 2021-22, averaging 6.7 points on 46.6 percent from the field, 3.2 boards, and 1.7 assists.

Beverley (6-1, 180, Arkansas) is entering his 11th NBA season, owning career averages of 8.8 points, 4.3 rebounds, 3.5 assists, and 1.1 steals in 27.4 minutes per contest. He was acquired by Utah in a trade with the Minnesota Timberwolves on July 6, 2022.

Horton-Tucker will wear no. 0, and Johnson will wear no. 2 for the Jazz.
