    The Utah Jazz and America First Credit Union announced today an exclusive, multi-year partnership, naming America First as the Official Credit Union of the Utah Jazz. The largest credit union in Utah, America First has been selected by the Jazz as the only corporate partner in its consumer category.

    For Donovan Mitchell, it came when the commissioner announced his name on draft night. For Joe Ingles, it came when he found out he was moving to Salt Lake City. Every player knows how it feels to receive a life-changing call. This time the players on the Utah Jazz got the chance to do the calling, personally delivering transformational good news to the first 30 recipients of the Utah Jazz Scholarship. “I had to call and let you know,” Mitchell told one stunned student. “I wanted to be the first to congratulate you.”

    Utah Jazz steward Ryan Smith joins with Apple CEO and Imagine Dragons singer to donate $4M to help LGBTQ+ youth

    An NBA team, a tech giant and a rock band are teaming up to provide safe places and brighter futures for LGBTQ+ youth in Utah and the West. Utah Jazz steward Ryan Smith joined Apple CEO Tim Cook and Imagine Dragons front man on Thursday to announce a $4 million donation to build eight new Encircle homes, safe havens for young lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and questioning people and their families.

    On the final episode of our four-part series highlighting Black-Owned Businesses in Utah, we take it to the dance studio, where we meet Marc Cameron. Marc is the owner of “The Dance Project SLC” located in the Cottonwood Heights area. Marc is originally from the United Kingdom, where he danced professionally before landing and leaving his mark in Utah. Marc is currently the only Black British Owner of a Dance Studio in all of Utah.  “It’s amazing how many people have not seen a British Black Guy,” Cameron says.

    The National Basketball Association has been built by black history. So, too, has our nation. To help ensure that lesson is learned and never forgotten, Utah Jazz players, head coach Quin Snyder and team governors Ryan and Ashley Smith are joining together to share the global impact of Black history heroes with K-12 students throughout the state of Utah.

    Larry H. Miller Group of Companies Announces Massive Food Drive at LHM Dealerships, Megaplex Theatres and Sports Facilities

    The Larry H. Miller Group of Companies (LHM Group) today announced a public week-long, statewide food drive at its car dealerships, movie theatres and sports facilities to support the Utah Food Bank and help address food insecurity conditions caused by the coronavirus pandemic. The “Driven to Assist” campaign will begin on Thursday, April 30 through Wednesday, May 6 at all 22 Larry H. Miller Dealerships locations in Utah, 13 LHM Megaplex Theatres, home of the NBA Utah Jazz at Vivint Smart Home Arena and home of the MiLB Salt Lake Bees at Smith’s Ballpark.

    Whenever Kennady Kasteler sees her friend in the hallways at school, she wants to hug him, the biggest hug she’s ever given anyone. Then she remembers his broken ribs. Still, Mike le Fear probably wouldn’t care. Never mind that Kennady is the one who broke them. She’s also the one who saved his life. “We’re so happy to see each other all the time,” Kennady says.
