Bulls convert Bitim to standard NBA contract

The Chicago Bulls have converted the two-way contract of forward Onuralp Bitim to a standard NBA contract. In accordance with team policy, terms of the contract were not disclosed.

Bitim has appeared in two games with the Bulls this season after signing a two-way contract with Chicago on July 25, 2023. The Kadiköy, Turkey native has also suited up in 12 games (all starts) with the Windy City Bulls, the team’s G League affiliate, posting averages of 16.7 points, 3.9 rebounds and 4.1 assists across 32.1 minutes per game.

Bitim led Windy City in three-point shooting (.433 3FG%) and three-point makes (39) this season and was the only Windy City player to shoot at least .400 from the floor (.456 FG%) and .400 from beyond the arc and .800 from the free-throw line (.833 FT%) (minimum five games played). 

Prior to his time in the NBA, Bitim appeared in 30 games for Bursaspor (Turkey) in 2022-23, a part of the Basketbol Süper Ligi (BSL), averaging 18.4 points, 4.8 rebounds, 3.6 assists and 1.2 steals in 30.8 minutes, and earned Second Team All-EuroCup honors behind 18.1 points per game during EuroCup play that season. The totality of Bitim’s international experience consists of stints with Anadolu Efes (2017-18; 2018-19), Sigortam.Net ITU BB (2017-18), Pinar Karsiyaka (2020-21) and Bursaspor (2021-23).
