BULLS AND INDEED PARTNER TO LAUNCH THE ‘READY TO WORK’ COALITION IN CHICAGO

The Chicago Bulls announced today that it will partner with the leading global hiring platform Indeed to support its Ready to Work coalition in Chicago, which launched today and will run through Saturday, October 8. Ready to Work – a series of free in-person events for job seekers living in Chicago, Detroit, Dallas-Fort Worth, Los Angeles and Washington D.C.– aims to connect 50,000 job seekers with actively hiring employers nationwide through the Ready to Work virtual hub and provide them with resources and guidance for a successful job search. During its four-week stop in Chicago, and with support from the Bulls, Goodwill Chicago, Dunkin’ Donuts and more, Ready to Work will host a series of free events for job seekers across the city, including career workshops, resume reviews and individual job search consultations.

The Bulls will promote Ready to Work Chicago programming and events across its social media platforms and on the team’s official website. Bulls employees, including the organizations’ Creative Strategy and Design Advisor Don C., will lead career talks and participate in a panel discussion to motivate and share career insights with job seekers across Chicago. On Thursday, September 15, Bulls Entertainment, including Benny the Bull, the Luvabulls, Incredibulls and game host Todd Abbott, will host the first of eight in-person “Morning Motivation” sessions throughout the four-week program. All Bulls Ready to Work events will take place in Fulton Market at 1200 W Lake St. Through the Ready to Work Sweeps, program participants can enter to win a grand prize, including four VIP tickets to a Bulls regular season home game, an autographed Bulls jersey and more.

“The Bulls’ front office staff are passionate about their areas of expertise work and eager to share their insight with active job seekers in Chicago,” said Bulls Executive Director of Human Resources Natalie Huddleston. “In recent years, we have made a concerted effort to partner with organizations and amplify initiatives that provide people with access to the resources they need to be successful, so we are very excited to partner with Indeed to support Ready to Work and engage directly with our community in a new way.”

In addition to the “Morning Motivation” sessions, the Bulls will host four in-person events led by Bulls employees across departments, which will kick off with a career talk led by Don C. on Thursday, September 22. On Friday, September 23, the team will host a Chicago Bulls Employee Panel and career talks led by Bulls Vice President of Community Engagement Adrienne Scherenzel-Curry on Thursday, September 29 and Bulls Vice President of Marketing Dan Moriarty on Thursday, October 6.

“The last couple of years have brought new challenges and exacerbated existing ones for so many job seekers. This program is important because not only is it impacting entire communities but deserving individuals who have the desire and the potential to do great work,” said Abbey Carlton, Indeed VP of Social Impact. “The support from our partners will allow the Ready to Work initiative to reach as many job seekers as possible through both in-person and virtual events that will connect thousands of people with companies who need great talent now.”

Ready to Work events and programming are free and open for registration here. Participants will also have access to a virtual hub to search for opportunities and connect directly with employers. To amplify initiative’s impact, Indeed has also partnered with a coalition of businesses, nonprofits and civic partners, including the Detroit Pistons, to rollout a series of activations across Chicago, Detroit, Washington D.C., Los Angeles and Dallas-Fort Worth. The initiative supports Indeed’s goal of helping 100 million people worldwide get hired by 2030.
