The Golden State Warriors today announced the organization’s planned activations for Pride Month, presented by Accenture, which will include a renovation project at Larkin Street Youth Services, a Pride Comedy Night at Thrive City, volunteer opportunities for front office staff, and more. Additionally, to mark the start of Pride Month, Chase Center’s exterior façade will light in rainbow tonight to reflect and celebrate the diversity of the LGBTQ+ community.

Thrive City will host Pride Comedy Night, presented by Accenture, on Thursday, June 22, from 6 – 9 p.m. The free comedy showcase, which will be held in collaboration with HellaFunny, will feature host Sister Roma and comedians Irene Tu, Sureni Weerasekera, and Scott Capuro. To learn more or to register for the event, please visit ThriveCity.com.

Warriors’ front office staff will join representatives from Accenture and Kaiser Permanente in San Francisco’s Pride Parade on Sunday, June 25. Additionally, the organization will support local efforts, including Pride in the Park and Quilt efforts, and will encourage front office staff to volunteer throughout the month via the organizations’ Helping Hands initiative. 

On Wednesday, June 28, volunteers from the Warriors and Accenture will refurbish the Employment Training Classroom at Larkin Street Youth Services, San Francisco’s largest nonprofit provider for young people navigating homelessness, a disproportionally high number of which identify as part of the LGBTQ+ community. The refurbishment of the classroom, which houses Larkin Street Youth Services’ workforce entry program, will include technology, furniture and décor upgrades to support hybrid opportunities for the youth served.

Warriors + Chase Center Mobile App; Vice President, Technology Daniel Brusilovsky Nominated In Separate Categories

The Golden State Warriors and Chase Center have been nominated by SportTechie and Sports Business Journal as finalists in two categories as part of the Sports Business Awards: Technology, announced today.

The Warriors + Chase Center Mobile App has been named a finalist in the ‘Venue Operations Technology of the Year’ category, while Vice President, Technology, Daniel Brusilovsky has been named a finalist for the ‘Technology Executive of the Year’ award.

Launched in 2019, the Warriors + Chase Center Mobile App, built in partnership with Accenture, is a central piece of the fan experience at the arena. Utility is at the core of the app, which enables fans to manage their tickets, access interactive venue maps, save their payment source in the app digital wallet, order food & beverage for express pickup, access real-time transit info, and chat with an automated chatbot for customer service and ticketing questions. The app was designed and developed in partnership with Accenture using Google Cloud Platform, and has integrated key technology partners, such as Adobe, for push notifications and analytics, Ticketmaster for mobile ticketing, Aruba Meridian technology for proximity notifications, unique Chase cardholder benefits at point of purchase, exclusive content for Verizon customers and many more. Using Google Cloud Platform, data from the app is seamlessly integrated with the BigQuery data warehouse, to enable the Warriors to create a more personalized, data-driven experience for fans attending games locally or fans just following along from home all over the world. The app has seen over 2 million downloads to-date.

The other 2023 Venue Operations Technology of the Year nominees are: 601 Analytics; Converged Network at SoFi Stadium by Cisco; Evolv; Just Walk Out and Amazon One; and Mashgin.

Brusilovsky, in his ninth season with the team, and second as Vice President, Technology, leads all organization and venue technology operations for the franchise. Brusilovsky’s primary responsibilities are oversight of all digital products, technology platforms and overall technology strategy, including mobile apps, website platforms, technology infrastructure, cybersecurity, IT support and venue technology across multiple offices and arenas. In the last year, Brusilovsky led the venue’s adoption of Wi-Fi 6E, becoming the first arena in North America to deploy the technology. He is heavily involved with the team’s 15+ integrated technology partners, relationships that sit at the core of the world-class fan experience offered at Chase Center and around the world.

The other 2023 Technology Executive of the Year nominees are: Sameer Ahuja, President, GameChanger; Marie Donoghue, VP, Global Sports Video, Amazon; Johannes Holzmuller, Director, Football Technology and Innovation, FIFA; David Lehanski, EVP, Business Development & Innovation, NHL; and Gary Stevenson, President & Managing Director of MLS Business Ventures, Major League Soccer.

The Sports Business Awards: Technology, in its first year, consist of eight categories with 41 nominees. The nominees are being recognized for excellence and outstanding achievement in the business of sports technology over the last year. The 2022 NBA Champion Golden State Warriors announced today that the Santa Cruz Warriors will host a home game against the Cleveland Charge at Chase Center on Saturday, March 4, 2023. Tip-off is set for 12:30 p.m. The first 10,000 fans in attendance will receive a Captain Klay Bobblehead, courtesy of Adobe. The game marks the sixth time the G League affiliate has played on Golden State’s home court, including the second time at Chase Center. Santa Cruz has a 1-0 record at Chase Center.

Tickets will be available to the general public starting Friday, November 11 at 10 a.m. and can be purchased here.

During the 2021-22 season, Santa Cruz beat the NBA G League Ignite, 110-107, at Chase Center in front of 10,710 fans — the largest crowd to attend a G League game that season. Forward Jerome Robinson led the team with 22 points and seven rebounds.

The Santa Cruz Warriors are celebrating their 10th season in Santa Cruz and 11th season as Golden State’s NBA G League affiliate. Santa Cruz finished the 2021-22 NBA G League Showcase Cup with a 6-8 record and finished the regular season with a 15-17 record, earning the Western Conference’s sixth seed after a five-game winning streak. &nbsp;Since the 2019-20 season, all regular season Santa Cruz home and away games have been broadcasted on NBC Sports Bay Area or a National telecast.&nbsp;The March 4 game will be broadcast on NBC Sports Bay Area.

Many current Golden State Warriors players have spent time with Santa Cruz, including Klay Thompson, who scrimmaged with Santa Cruz as part of his ramp up to on-court activities before eventually making a return to Golden State’s lineup on January 9, 2022, after being sidelined due to injury for 941 days. Additionally, Jordan Poole averaged 23.1 points, 5.5 rebounds and 3.8 assists in 14 games for the Sea Dubs during the 2019-20 and 2020-21 seasons. The Santa Cruz Warriors have been successful off the court as well, being named the NBA G League Franchise of the Year following the 2017-18, 2020-21 and 2021-22 seasons for their contributions on the court and throughout the Santa Cruz community.

The 2022 NBA Champion Golden State Warriors and Aruba, a Hewlett Packard Enterprise company (NYSE: HPE), today announced that as part of its commitment to providing modern, immersive experiences for fans and guests, Aruba&nbsp;Wi-Fi 6E&nbsp;access points (APs) have been deployed at&nbsp;Chase Center. This implementation marks the first Wi-Fi 6E network at a live entertainment venue in North America, and significantly increases available bandwidth in the arena as fans embrace streaming, uploading content and other high-bandwidth activities during events. This also ensures ample bandwidth for stadium operations, IoT implementations, and experience-related services such as in-seat ordering and contactless payment.

Chase Center Becomes First Arena in North America to Deploy Wi-Fi 6E

Chase Center seats 18,064 for Warriors games. The arena also hosts concerts, comedians and other events. Additionally, the district surrounding the venue, which is known as Thrive City, boasts 3.2 acres of open space, 125,000 square feet of restaurant and retail businesses, and 580,000 square feet of office space across two buildings. As the first arena to deploy this technology in North America, Chase Center currently has over 250 active Wi-Fi 6E APs in the bowl seating section of the arena. The Wi-Fi 6E APs were first live with the venue’s Alicia Keys concert on September 3, 2022.

Chase Center’s adoption of Aruba’s enterprise grade Wi-Fi 6E solution set, which was the first Wi-Fi 6E solution introduced to the market, includes Aruba’s patented ultra tri-band filtering that dynamically adjusts the available channels to eliminate signal interference and performance degradation. The new Wi-Fi 6E APs allow the arena to centrally configure and automatically enforce role-based policies across the wired and wireless networks. Additionally, the APs are IoT-ready with integrated Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) and Zigbee support to make it easier to deploy and manage IoT, including asset tracking, security solutions and sensors.

Chase Center has hosted numerous sold-out events since its opening in 2019, including every Warriors game and the 2022 NBA Finals, which saw a peak of over 3.80 TB in use, with over 10,000 unique devices. During the venue’s host duties of the 2022 NCAA Western Regional, the arena experienced a peak of over 4.05 TB.
