WARRIORS PREPPED FOR FINAL TUNE UP AHEAD OF THE 2022-23 SEASON
The Dubs face off against the Denver Nuggets on Friday for their final preseason meeting ahead of the 2022-23 regular season. WARRIORS ANNOUNCE SLATE OF EVENTS FOR CHAMPIONS RING NIGHT, PRESENTED BY CHASE FREEDOM
The Warriors are encouraging fans to arrive early for Championship Ring Night, presented by Chase Freedom, and take part in a slate of events ahead of the Dubs’ Opening Night matchup against the Los Angeles Lakers on Oct. 18. There will be a number of pregame championship celebrations including a fan fest at Thrive City and a Championship Ring Experience, an augmented reality (AR) platform for fans to virtually wear the team’s Championship rings and capture photos to share on social media. Ahead of tipoff, NBA Commissioner Adam Silver, along with Warriors co-executive chairmen Joe Lacob and Peter Guber will present Warriors players with their 2022 NBA Championship rings and unveil the 2021-22 NBA Championship banner in the rafters at Chase Center. The Warriors waived two-way guards Lester Quinones and Quinndary Weatherspoon this week. Weatherspoon appeared in 11 games last season with the Dubs, recording averages of 2.7 points and 1.3 rebounds in 6.6 minutes per game.
