The Golden State Warriors have assigned rookie center Damian Jones to the Santa Cruz Warriors of the NBA Development League, the team announced today. Jones will be with the Santa Cruz Warriors for their upcoming three-game road trip, which begins on Tuesday, Dec. 20 at 5:00 p.m. (PST) against the Iowa Energy in Des Moines.
Jones has appeared in six games (three starts) with the Santa Cruz Warriors this season, averaging 5.2 points, 6.3 rebounds and 2.17 blocks in 21.5 minutes. The 7’0”, 245-pound center has appeared in one game with Golden State this season, recording nine minutes of play.
