Golden State Warriors Two-Way guard Lester Quinones has been named the 2022-23 Kia NBA G League Most Improved Player, the NBA G League announced today. The award, which honors the player who demonstrated the most significant improvement during the season, was voted on by NBA G League head coaches and general managers.

Quinones appeared in 31 games (all starts) for the Santa Cruz Warriors during the 2022-23 season, averaging 21.8 points, 7.0 rebounds and 4.8 assists in 32.0 minutes per game.

Quinones was named NBA G League Player of the Week twice this season for games played from February 13 to February 26 and March 13 to March 19. After earning a 10-day contract with the Golden State Warriors on March 2, he signed a Two-Way contract with Golden State on March 17.

Quinones will be presented with the award ahead of the Golden State Warriors versus Oklahoma City Thunder game on Tuesday, April 4 at 7 p.m. at Chase Center in San Francisco, CA.

Baldwin Jr. recorded a double-double with 14 points and 11 rebounds to go along with four assists and two steals during Santa Cruz’s 134-111 victory last night over the Texas Legends, the team’s regular season finale. Overall, the rookie forward appeared in 20 games (all starts) with Santa Cruz this season, averaging 12.8 points, 5.7 rebounds and 1.8 assists in 26.7 minutes per game. He is averaging 4.4 points and 1.4 rebounds in 8.1 minutes over 26 games with Golden State.

The 2022 NBA Champion Golden State Warriors have signed guard Lester Quinones to a two-way contract, it was announced today.

Quinones, 22, has appeared in 44 games this season for Golden State’s G League affiliate, the Santa Cruz Warriors, averaging 19.8 points on 46.7% shooting from the field and 38.2% shooting from beyond the arc to go along with 6.2 rebounds and 3.8 assists in 31.2 minutes per game.

Quinones scored a season-high 46 points to go with 12 rebounds, four assists and one steal in Santa Cruz’s 132-129 win vs. the Salt Lake City Stars on March 15. The 6’4” guard has 10 double-doubles on the season and was named the NBA G League Player of the Week for games played from February 13 to February 26.

Unselected in the 2022 NBA Draft out of the University of Memphis, Quinones signed a 10-day contract with Golden State on March 2.

Moody is averaging 24.4 points, 5.8 rebounds, 1.8 assists, 1.20 steals and 32.3 minutes over five games with Santa Cruz this season. The second-year guard has played in 50 games (three starts) with Golden State, averaging 4.6 points, 1.6 rebounds and 13.4 minutes.

Quinones, unselected in the 2022 NBA Draft out of Memphis, is averaging 19.2 points, 6.1 rebounds, 3.8 assists and 31.1 minutes in 43 games with Santa Cruz. He signed a 10-day contract with Golden State on March 2.
