Warriors Launch Poster Series to Benefit Warriors Community Foundation

Established 1946 | 7-time NBA Champions

The Golden State Warriors today introduced a new commemorative Warriors Poster Series, a program that will benefit the Warriors Community Foundation. The team will work with Bay Area artists over a select list of games to design and produce themed posters that will be available for purchase in limited quantities.

Fans will be able to purchase the posters at the Thrive City Warriors Shop and inside Chase Center at Portal 10 for $20 on game day. All posters will be numbered as only 100 will be sold each game on a first come, first served basis. Proceeds from the posters will benefit the Warriors Community Foundation, which works to improve educational justice for students throughout the Bay Area and recently announced grant donations in excess of $1.7 million this year for local educational non-profits. Since the Warriors Community Foundation’s inception in 2012, the organization has surpassed $12 million in impact.

The team’s Christmas Day poster (pictured), designed by Donta Santistevan, celebrates the love of the game with a festive color scheme that plays off of the Warriors blue and yellow with more traditional holiday influences. He framed the illustration in a way that gives the viewer a sensation of looking into a holiday present to discover the gift of basketball. Santistevan, a San Francisco-based artist, is an illustrator, designer and graphic artist who pulls influence from his time working with skateboarding and clothing companies, musicians and publications.

This program offers local artists a new way to share their interpretation of Dub Nation and the team’s local influence on the Bay Area. The artwork will be showcased in arena and on the team’s digital channels leading up to each game and as part of the season-long poster collection.
