SACRAMENTO SCOUTING REPORT
The Sacramento Kings have sputtered down the stretch, falling from a seemingly secure playoff spot to the 9th vs. 10th place Play-In game. The injury bug has plagued Sacramento down the stretch as they are without two of their top shooters, Kevin Huerter (torn left labrum) and Malik Monk (sprained right MCL). Huerter was the team's starting shooting guard and Monk is among the league's best 6th men. In their absence, the Kings have turned to undrafted second-year guard Keon Ellis, a more defensive-minded player who recently hit eight 3-pointers against the Oklahoma City Thunder on April 9. Sacramento has two starters who played in all 82 regular season games — Domantas Sabonis and Harrison Barnes. Sabonis is the league's leading rebounder for the second consecutive season (13.7 RPG) and finished first in double-doubles (77). Reigning Clutch Player of the Year, De'Aaron Fox, averaged a team-high 26.6 points and led the league in steals per game (2.0).
