DALLAS SCOUTING REPORT
The Dallas Mavericks are on a three-game winning streak, led by Luka Doncic, the reigning Western Conference Player of the Week. Doncic is amidst a historic streak, with an NBA record seven straight games with a triple-double and he eclipsed 30 points in six of those contests. Doncic has greatly impacted his teammates, particularly his two primary lob threats, newly acquired center Daniel Gafford and rookie Derek Lively III, who have the two highest field goal percentages since the All-Star break (Gafford 87.0 FG%, Lively 82.9 FG%) with at least five games played. Gafford has made 28 straight field goals, the most consecutive made field goals in the play-by-play era (since 1997-98). The Mavericks also traded for athletic big man PJ Washington at the deadline, averaging 13.1 points and 5.3 rebounds this season.
