FAMILIAR FOE IN PHOENIX
The Warriors will face a familiar foe in Phoenix, playing the Suns on Tuesday. The Dubs hosted the Suns on Opening Night and visited them on Nov. 22, losing both games. The Suns (12-10) are two games ahead of the Warriors (10-12) in the current standings.

LAST TIME OUT
Despite a late Stephen Curry flurry, the Warriors lost an overtime battle to the Thunder 138-136 in Oklahoma City on Friday. Curry hit a go-ahead 3-pointer late in regulation, but the Warriors fouled a 3-point shooter, Chet Holmgren, who hit all three foul shots to extend the game. Curry led all scorers with 34 points and the Dubs had three players record double-doubles: Jonathan Kuminga (24 points, 12 rebounds), Draymond Green (12 points, 13 assists) and Dario Saric (11 points, 12 rebounds). » Full Game Recap

IT'S UP TO US
Head Coach Steve Kerr feels that the Warriors should have a sense of empowerment and that turning the season around is entirely in their control. Following Friday's loss to the Thunder, Kerr pointed out that self-inflicted wounds like turnovers have become a pattern, but he's also seen a pattern of championships with a similar group.

"It's up to us," Kerr said. "It's a pattern right now. I watched this same group win a championship a year and a half ago. They're champions, but they're not playing like it; I'm not coaching like it."

Postgame Warriors Talk: Steve Kerr - 12/8/23

Kerr is putting the responsibility on himself, his coaching staff and his players to figure it out. Klay Thompson put the first 20-ish games into perspective.

"There are 60 regular season games left," Thompson told The Athletic. "I will never ever lose faith in this group, we've been in too many battles together."

PHOENIX SCOUTING REPORT
The Phoenix Suns have yet to play a regular season game with Kevin Durant, Devin Booker and Bradley Beal all in the lineup. Beal is off the injury report, having ramped up from a back injury that has sidelined him for the past month, but Durant is out after missing Friday's game against the Sacramento Kings with an ankle injury. This past week, the Suns advanced to the knockout stage of the In-Season Tournament as a wildcard team before they were eliminated by the eventual champion Los Angeles Lakers. Durant was named to the NBA's first-ever In-Season Tournament All-NBA team. The Suns have faced the Warriors twice this season, winning both meetings.
