L.A. LAKERS SCOUTING REPORT
Anthony Davis has struggled to put forth consistent scoring production in these playoffs. After scoring 30 points and grabbing 23 rebounds in Game 1, Davis had just 11 points and seven rebounds in Game 2. Davis has scored 30-plus points three times this postseason and followed those games up with 12, 16 and 11 points, respectively. Davis believes it was as simple as missing shots he made in Game 1, saying:

"I took all the same shots I took in Game 1," Davis said. "I just missed them. Elbow jumpers. Pocket passes to the floater. Same exact looks. Didn't shoot no shot that I didn't shoot in Game 1. Just missed them. That's all."

The Warriors adjusted to making former Defensive Player of the Year Draymond Green Davis' primary defender. However, even Green admitted there's only so much you can do against a great player like Davis.

Postgame Warriors Talk: Draymond Green – 5/4/23

"You can play that same defense and he can have a great game and that's why he's great," Draymond Green said. "But I think for us, we've just got to make them take tough contested shots. If you do the best you can do defensively, you have to live with the result."

LeBron James scored 21 of his 23 points in the first half, but Klay Thompson nearly matched him shot for shot, scoring 19 of his own. For the game, Thompson outscored James 30-23 and the Splash Brothers outscored James and Davis 50-34.

The Lakers head back to Los Angeles with a 1-1 series split, a scenario in which they have won nine straight playoff games, the longest such streak in NBA history.
