CHARLOTTE SCOUTING REPORT
The Charlotte Hornets (35-40) continue a crucial Western Conference road stretch, with each game carrying great significance to their playoff hopes. Currently two games out of the eighth and final playoff spot with seven games remaining, the Hornets need to be pretty close to perfect the rest of the way to crack the playoff picture. And for Charlotte, it all starts with All-Star guard Kemba Walker. He leads the team with 25.2 ppg and 5.9 assists, while Jeremy Lamb adds further guard depth with averages of 15 points and a team-high of 5.6 rebounds. The emergence of Dwayne Bacon has given the team a boost, as he has tallied three straight games of 20+ points. Seasoned veteran Tony Parker also plays a contributing role for Charlotte, averaging 9.5 ppg in this 17th year in the league. Charlotte Center Cody Zeller posted 28 points up against the Dubs earlier this season, but hasn’t played in three weeks and will be out again on Sunday with a knee injury.
