Playing the back end of a back-to-back, Curry stepped up in the third quarter after both teams combined to play a sloppy first half. Curry lit up the scoreboard with 10 points during an 18-3 run that put the Warriors in control of the game. Curry hit a pair of 3-pointers during the run, but he was just getting started.
With the Suns threatening a fourth quarter comeback, Curry erased any chance of the home team picking up a win when he caught fire once again from 3-point range. The All-Star guard and reigning Three-Point Contest champion went 4-for-5 from the perimeter in the fourth quarter and wound up with 25 of his 36 points in the second half.

Curry complimented his big scoring night with six rebounds, five assists and four steals, and fellow Splash Brother Klay Thompson also had a strong showing with 25 points. The guard duo combined lived up to their rainmaking nickname, going a combined 11-for-21 from 3-point range.
Thompson wasn’t quite Curry-hot, but he started the game with eight of the team’s first 10 points. Thompson’s quick start had a lot to do with the Dubs leading by as many 11 in the first half, but the Warriors soon went cold and Phoenix rallied to tie it up at halftime 46-46. Two of the three highest scoring teams in the NBA failed to shoot better than 40 percent in the first half, but the Dubs soon got back on track.
Draymond Green broke the halftime tie with a 3-pointer from the top of the key, and the Warriors never trailed for the remainder of the game. The 18-3 run was the difference in a 30-15 quarter in favor of the Dubs, who continued to pour it on in the fourth quarter.
With Curry lighting it up on one end, the Warriors continued to make life rough for the usually high-flying Suns. Golden State held Phoenix to 37.7 percent shooting, and in the process improved to 32-0 this season when holding the opposition to less than 100 points.
Now winners of four straight, the Warriors will head back home to host the Pistons on Wednesday night in search of win No. 51 this season.
