The Game
This is the first matchup between the Timberwolves and Rockets this season.
This is the second night of a back-to-back for both teams. The Wolves hosted the Wizards on Friday night, while the Rockets were at home against the Indiana Pacers.
The Wolves were 2-1 against the Rockets last season, one of just five teams to have a winning record against Houston in 2018-19.
Both of these teams are plenty different than a season ago. The Wolves have a whole new rotation, while the Rockets added Russell Westbrook in exchange for Chris Paul (and 1,377 draft picks).

Connections
- Timberwolves President Of Basketball Operations Gersson Rosas spent 16-plus seasons with the Rockets before joining the Wolves. He got his NBA start in Houston and worked his way up to where he’s at now.
- Gerald Green, who is expected to miss the season with a foot injury, played 29 games for the Wolves in 2007-08. He averaged 5.1 points per game during that stretch. He was a piece in the trade that Minnesota received from Boston in exchange for Kevin Garnett.
- Timberwolves forward Robert Covington got his start with the Rockets organization as an undrafted free agent in 2013-14. He played in the then D-League for the Rockets and appeared in seven regular season games. He signed with the 76ers the season after. On the season, Covington is averaging 12.5 points and 5.7 rebounds per game.

Wolves: Andrew Wiggins (personal) is questionable. Jeff Teague (illness) and Jordan Bell (shoulder) are probable. Shabazz Napier (hamstring) is doubtful.
Rockets: Russell Westbrook (rest), Eric Gordon (knee), Clint Capela (concussion), Nene (hip) and Gerald Green (foot) are out. Danuel House Jr. (back) is questionable.
