WolvesCare 2016‑2017
As part of WolvesCare month, the FastBreak Foundation focuses its attention on our toughest fans, children with life‑threatening or long‑term illnesses or disorders.
1 / 7On April 3rd, the Minnesota Timberwolves was proud to honor Max Jahnke who was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes, an auto immune disease in which a person’s pancreas no longer produces insulin. Since being diagnosed, Max has endured more than 11,000 finger pricks and 6,000 insulin injections. He has also raised over $40,000 for J.D.R.F to support critical research. Max doesn’t let type 1 diabetes sideline him though, he helped his fifth-grade basketball team take 2nd place at the 2017 State Tournament.
