Rockets make it official, announce team has waived Derek Fisher

HOUSTON - Houston Rockets General Manager Daryl Morey announced today that the team waived guard Derek Fisher. 

The Rockets acquired Fisher and a 2012 first-round pick on March 15 from the L.A. Lakers (via Dallas) in exchange for center/forward Jordan Hill.
 
Fisher (6-1, 200, University of Arkansas at Little Rock) is in his 16th NBA season and holds career averages of 8.7 points (.373, 1119-2997 3FG), 3.1 assists and 1.09 steals in 1,153 NBA games (722 starts).
