Rockets Trade Jeremy Lin to Los Angeles Lakers

HOUSTON – Houston Rockets General Manager Daryl Morey announced today that the team has traded Jeremy Lin to the Los Angeles Lakers. 

“On behalf of the entire organization and Rockets fans around the world, I want to thank Jeremy for his contributions to our organization,” said Rockets Owner Leslie Alexander. It has been a joy to watch Jeremy over the past few seasons. We wish him all the best in the future.” 

Lin (6-3, 200, Harvard), who played two seasons with Houston, averaged 13.0 points and 5.2 assists in 153 games with the Rockets. Prior to joining the Rockets, Lin spent a year playing for the New York Knicks, averaging 14.6 points and 3.1 rebounds per in 35 games. Lin was signed as a restricted free agent by the Rockets on July 17, 2012 after New York chose not to match Houston’s offer sheet.
