Rockets Re-Sign Troy Daniels

HOUSTON – Houston Rockets General Manager Daryl Morey announced today that the team has re-signed restricted free agent guard Troy Daniels to a multi-year deal.

Daniels (6-4, 200, VCU) hit the game-winning three-pointer against the Portland Trailblazers in Game 3 of the first round of the 2014 NBA Playoffs, averaging 7.8 points and 2.3 rebounds in that series. In five regular season games with the Rockets last season, Daniels averaged 8.4 points and 1.0 assist in 15 minutes per game. Undrafted in the 2013 NBA Draft, Daniels spent the majority of the 2013-14 season with the Rio Grande Valley Vipers where he was named a D-League All Star, D-League All-Rookie Second Team, and All-NBA D-League Third team. He averaged 21.5 points and 4.6 rebounds in an average of 35.8 minutes per game with the Vipers.
