Rockets Complete Four-Player Trade with Atlanta 

HOUSTON – The Houston Rockets today announced they have acquired guard Justin Holiday and forward/center Frank Kaminsky from Atlanta, along with two future second round picks conveyed by Oklahoma City, in exchange for center Bruno Fernando and guard Garrison Mathews.

Holiday (6-6, 180) was eligible for the 2011 NBA Draft and is in his 10th season.  In 604 career games with 285 starts, he is averaging 8.5 points, 2.9 rebounds and 1.5 assists in 24.1 minutes per game.  Dating back to 2019-20, Holiday is averaging 2.1 3-pointers made on 38.0% shooting and he has more steals (564) than turnovers (520) for his career.

Kaminsky (7-0, 242) was the ninth overall pick by Charlotte in the 2015 NBA Draft and is in his eighth season.  In 403 career games with 49 starts, he is averaging 9.0 ppg, 3.9 rpg and 1.6 apg in 20.1 mpg.  Over the past three seasons, Kaminsky was one of four players with at least 40 games played to have averaged at least 8.0 ppg and 4.0 rpg in fewer than 18.0 mpg.

Fernando was acquired by Houston via trade with Boston last February.  He appeared in 41 games with four starts as a Rocket, while averaging 4.8 ppg and 4.0 rpg in 11.2 mpg.

Mathews was claimed off waivers from Boston on Oct. 18, 2021.  He appeared in 110 games with 33 starts as a Rocket, while averaging 7.9 ppg and 2.3 rpg in 21.0 mpg.
