HOUSTON - First and foremost, on behalf of the entire Houston Rockets organization, I want to thank you for your loyalty and support. Our fans and partners are the lifeblood of our team, and any success we achieve as an organization is a direct result of your passion and commitment.
Unfortunately, negotiations between the NBA and NBA Players Association have not produced a new collective bargaining agreement to date, and the league has taken the difficult but necessary step to postpone player training camps and cancel preseason games scheduled through October 15.
It is the top priority for us during this time to keep you informed and aware of any related developments and will continue to provide updates on the situation as new information is made available. We want to assure you that all the league's efforts are focused on reaching an agreement that provides a sustainable business model that allows all 30 teams to be able to compete for a championship, fairly compensates the players, and ensures a world-class experience for our fans.
