Early on Phillips was fascinated by computers and technology, as he spent his spare time during high school building computers.  He later enrolled in the Unites States Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs where he earned a BS in Computer Science, then on to Hampton University for his MBA and New York Law School for his JD.

In 2010, he was announced as the CEO of Infor, the world’s third largest provider of enterprise applications and services, as well as the world’s largest privately owned software company.  Upon his hiring, he immediately set out to redirect Infor’s efforts by installing a corporate culture of camaraderie, goodwill and reward, design, product coherence, and the optimization of user experience.  During President Barack Obama’s term, he was appointed on the advisory board to provide advice and council addressing the late-2000 recession.  He also serves on the board of directors of Viacom, Federal Reserve Bank of New York, New York City Police Foundation, Apollo Theater, Jazz at Lincoln Center, and New York Law School.

Brooklyn native, April Walker is a savvy business woman who helped set trends in the lifestyle fashion category before it developed into the power house we know of today.  At the age of twenty-one she opened her first custom shop making clothes for MC Lyte, Shaggy, and Shinehead.  From there she launched a styling division that dressed EPMD, RunDMC, Shaq, Snoop Dogg, and Queen Latifah.  As the creator of “Walker-Wear” apparel in the early ‘90’s, he brand was one of the first to implement product placements and secure celebrity endorsements with the Notorious B.I.G., Tupac, and Beavis and Butthead.  Offering a blend of fashion and function, her designs helped launch her as a force to be reckon with in the fashion industry.  A recent resurgence has seen the brand receive notoriety in Essence, Huffington Post, and Hypebeast just to name a few.  Always on the pulse of culture one thing remains clear, trends fade, but style is eternal.

With over 20 years in government, he has used these experiences to propel him into the next phase of his life as an entrepreneur, as the founder of ‘That Suits You’ and ‘PK’s Pitch,”. PK is also an author, motivational speaker and connector of like-minded individuals. He has written blogs for the Huffington Post and Good Men project but his true passion is to help people like those who have assisted him in his many different ventures.  The help he’s received has assisted him in accomplishing great feats that lead to recognition from TV outlets such as ABC’s Here and Now, NY1’s New Yorker of the Week, and  News 12 Brooklyn. Through all of the lessons PK has learned, he now looks forward to sharing them with like-minded individuals.

Eugene Kelly is the Vice President of Global Diversity &amp; Inclusion for Colgate-Palmolive.  In this role, Eugene’s focus is on furthering Colgate’s efforts to attract and retain the best people from a diverse and broad base of global talent. Separately, he also serves on the Global Diversity &amp; Inclusion Council for the Asia Society and Conference Board.

Eugene was recently recognized as one of the 2016 Harlem YMCA National Black Achievers in Industry and was named the 2015 Corporate Citizen of the Year by Determine To Educate, Inc.

The firm works with several Fortune 100 and 500 clients to transform their diversity and inclusion work into double bottom line impact that benefits targeted communities as well as the company’s brand value and profits. Over the last two decades Jeff has developed expertise in communications, political engagement and strategic consulting to create a unique career committed to developing solutions and systemic change. Jeff states, ”The problems many of our communities face can be transformed by exploring market driven solutions that merge the public, private and philanthropic sectors into ecosystems of impact and power that benefit all of us vs. a few”.

He has conducted interviews with President Barack Obama and several international heads of state for BET News and provides regular content on the nationally syndicated Rickey Smiley Morning Show. Jeff formally served as National Director for the Youth &amp; College Division of the NAACP and held an appointment by Russell Simmons as the Vice President of the Hip Hop Summit Action Network (HSAN). In 2014 Jeff worked with Steve Harvey on his New York Times Best Seller, Act Like A Success, Think Like A Success, and is the author of his own book, Everything I’m Not Made Me Everything I Am. He is the Creator, Host and Executive Producer of MANCAVE, a late-night talk show targeting urban men airing on BET. Jeff also dedicates considerable time and resources to organizations committed to racial equity and social justice.

Jeff is the honored husband of Jacqueline and the fortunate father of Madison, Myles, Malcolm, Baldwin and Garvey.

The Untold: Sharifa Murdock

Born prematurely, at one pound and two ounces, Asha Boston knows a thing or two about fighting for the things you want in life-- including life itself.  Her work resume includes companies like AMC, BET, Media Information Services and most recently Lifetime and Bravo. However, it is through her journalism and documentary work that she is widely recognized. With a passion for storytelling, her work has been featured on platforms like Her Agenda, Teen Vogue, Madame Noire, VIBE, the NBA.com, Carib News and several others. She currently serves as the Founder of non-profit, The Dinner Table Documentary and President and CEO of Passion Fruit Vineyard Productions; a multimedia production company that creates original content, niche branding campaigns and program development for various non-profit and commercial entities. In June 2016, she was honored by the Obama Administration’s White House Council for Women and Girls as a "Nominated Change Maker" at the United State of Women Summit. In December 2018, she was selected to participate in a six-month fellowship at The Made in NY Fellowship (a partnership between The Mayor's Office of Media and Entertainment (MOME) and the Made in NY Media Center by IFP) for her debut film series, “A Time Before Kale.”
