Rookies usually have all kinds of “welcome to the NBA” moments on the court but Jason Williams had his...under a bus.

Last month, Kings legend Chris Webber recounted a story while appearing on the broadcast for NBA on TNT about when he figured out a creative way to make J-Will honor his rookie duties. 

Instead of carrying the bags for his teammates, Williams was riding with them.

During No. 55’s first season in the Association, Webber admitted that he made Williams ride in the undercarriage of the bus alongside the team’s luggage on the drive from the plane to the hotel. 

White Chocolate remained a good sport about the situation, even acknowledging the “traumatic” event on Twitter.

Whether on the court or on the bus ride, it seems J-Will was always in his bag.

That’s probably what you said watching Jason Williams do his thing on the hardwood.

Now you have to chance to see it from his perspective, as he sits down with House of Highlights founder and host, Omar Raja.

Williams has been practicing for his highlight mix since high school. Throwing dimes to another legend and high school teammate, Randy Moss.

According to J-Will, the NFL great was the first one to catch the flames he was throwing.

“He was pretty good, man. Everyone says it was Chris Webber, the first one to catch all those passes, but Moss, you could throw it anywhere.”

C-Webb may not have been the first one No. 55 was throwing it to, but some of those assists to him and the Kings squad may be the most memorable.

From the around-the-world pass vs Philly, crossing up “The Glove,” aka, Gary Payton, and even a segment of his best moments just showing out vs the Lakers, there’s no shortage of his wow moments in the league.

What’s even better is you’re hearing it from White Chocolate himself.

Though the NBA is now fully in offseason mode, the BIG3 season has only just begun.

In the debut season for the league featuring a plethora of former stars from the Association, several former Kings are scattered across the rosters - including guards Mike Bibby and Jason Williams who serve as a captain and co-captain of their respective squads.

Bibby heads up the Ghost Ballers, featuring Ricky Davis, Ivan Johnson, Marcus Banks, Joe Smith, and, former teammate in Sacramento, Mo Evans.

Meanwhile, J-Will’s squad, the 3 Headed Monsters, boasts Rashard Lewis, Kwame Brown, Eddie Basden, Hakim Warrick, and former King Mahmoud Abdul-Rauf.

Two of Sacramento’s fan favorites in Bibby and Williams matched up across from each other at Barclay’s Center in Brooklyn, with Bibby logging the first ever assist in league history.

During the game, however, J-Will would go down with a leg injury. Williams would not return for the rest of the contest and his current status for the season remains to be determined.

As the battle continued, the 3 Headed Monsters rallied behind head coach and Hall of Famer Gary Payton, topping the Ghost Ballers by a score of 62-60 following a game-winning free throw by Rashard Lewis to cap a game-high 27-point performance. Bibby would be one of three players in double digits for his team, logging 12 points in the defeat.

Next the BIG3 squads will be on the move for next week’s action in Charlotte, with the triumphant 3 Headed Monsters set to square off against Trilogy while the Ghost Ballers will take the court against 3’s Company.
