Sacramento Kings Announce the 4 Finalists in Capitalize: Technology

The 2023 Capitalize: Technology competition has narrowed to the final four companies.

Yesterday, the Sacramento Kings hosted Pitch Day at Golden 1 Center for the contest presented by Dialpad and the City of Sacramento’s Office of Innovation and Economic Development. During Pitch Day, the Top 8 presented their companies to a panel of successful entrepreneurs, executives and investors including:

    After deliberation, the panel announced the 4 Finalists that would continue in the contest. Those companies then created pitch videos for fan voting. Starting Monday, March 6 at 3 p.m., fans can visit Kings.com/Capitalize to view the videos and vote until halftime of the Kings game on March 24. The judges’ and fan votes will be tallied to determine the 2023 Capitalize: Technology winner. The winner will be announced during the game and awarded a $10,000 cash prize towards the development of their startup and three years of access to Dialpad communication services.

    3D-OPS is designing the first surgical adhesive out of silk fibroin that is both mechanically strong and biologically compatible.

                  The Capitalize: Technology contest is just one of the franchise’s commitments to support innovation and entrepreneurship in the Sacramento region and beyond. Later this year, the Kings will launch the expanded contests of the Capitalize platform, providing two new sectors with support in capacity building, connections and pilot opportunities, including Capitalize: Food and Capitalize: Innovation.
