Utah Jazz Partner with Community, SMS Messaging Platform, to Directly Text with Fans at 801-938-3022

Introductory Offer Will Award Five Winners with Two Jazz Game Tickets and Hospitality Club Passes for Game of Their Choice

The Utah Jazz announced today a partnership with Community, an innovative SMS messaging platform, to launch a branded texting experience that allows the Jazz to directly engage its fans and deliver customized experiences.

Text “JAZZ” to the Utah Jazz at 801-938-3022 to opt-in for the chance to receive exclusive content, offers, and more throughout the 2022-23 NBA season.

As a special, introductory promotion, all fans who subscribe by Sept. 28 will be entered to be among five winners who will each receive two tickets with Toyota Club hospitality passes to the Jazz home game of their choice at Vivint Arena during the 2022-23 NBA season.

“The Utah Jazz are committed to delivering meaningful, personalized guest experiences, and this partnership with Community accelerates our ability to engage with fans in a way that speaks to their individual preferences,” said Chris Barney, chief commercial officer. “Through the Community platform, we can obtain direct, instant insights from loyal Jazz fans to learn what information and promotions they are most interested in receiving, and tailor individual responses to ensure every fan feels heard.”  

The Jazz will be utilizing Community’s SMS technology to elicit responses from their fan base and drive season-long, two-way social conversation to help build hype around Jazz activities. It will also inspire unique content that fans may be most interested in, based on responses to questions such as, “Which game are you most excited for this season? Text and tell us!” 

Follow-up texts from the Jazz will provide direct ticket links for desired matchups or personalized communication regarding related promotions or activations, providing a custom experience for subscribers and building excitement before and throughout the 2022-23 NBA season.

Additionally, the Jazz will deepen their engagement with fans by utilizing three key Community features:

  • Birthday Messaging
  • Community Segmentation - easily segmenting and targeting fans based on their engagement patterns, behaviors, or responses
